Interactive teaching rounds occur regularly for all trainees completing rotations within the Department of Medicine. This round typically consists of a case presentation with a didactic review of the relevant literature followed by discussion.
Morning report is focused on problem formulation, diagnosis, and management of patients admitted to the hospitals. All residents are expected to attend morning report.
Simulation Lab courses are conducted on a routine basis and will serve as a learning tool that provides hands-on simulation experience in a controlled setting.
Journal Club sessions are routinely held in order to facilitate critical thinking and encourage conversation among colleagues.
Russian Language Immersion
Although many people in Kazan speak English, it is still necessary to learn medical Russian. Medical Russian classes are taught in order to optimize patient-doctor interaction.
