Anna Nalbat Secures Clinical Internship In The US

Assistant of professor at KSMU Neurology, Neurosurgery and Medical Genetics Department Anna Nalbat has undergone monthly clinical internship in the US. The training took place at the Norwalk Hospital of the Western Connecticut Health Network as a part of the Global Health program. The objectives of this internship were exchange of clinical experience and introduction to the principles of postgraduate medical education and residency training in the United States. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada – KSMU Internal Medicine Residency Program received the status “Accreditation in progress”

According to the decision of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada from August 9, 2018 KSMU Internal Medicine Residency Program received the status “Accreditation in progress”. Within a year from the moment of this decision, there will be a site visit of the representatives of the Royal College to Kazan State Medical University, according to which a conclusion on the possibility of assigning the status of full international accreditation will be made.

Taking the course “Extrapyramidal Pathology and Botulinotherapy” at Yale School of Medicine (USA).

Assistant of Professor of KSMU Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Sabina Munasipova is taking the course “Extrapyramidal Pathology and Botulinotherapy” at Yale School of Medicine (USA). The internship includes introduction to management of patients with Parkinson disease, muscular dystonia, tics, chorea and rare orphan diseases; visits to Botulinum therapy room and to the follow-up office. It also includes for video rounds with discussion of rare and complex clinical cases with the faculty.

The delegation of the Tatarstan Medical Students Association (TaMSA-Tatarstan) took part in the 67th March Meeting of IFMSA General Assembly in Hurghada, Egypt. This event brought together more than 1000 medical students from all over the world. The theme of this Assembly was the “Global epidemic in the 21st century”, with an emphasis on discussion of the prevalence of hepatitis C (HCV).
