Clinical internship on the Global Health program at Makerere University in Uganda at the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Kircuddu hospital

Residents of KSMU John Isa Ngbede and Isra Awad Abdallah Hamza started a clinical internship on the Global Health program at Makerere University in Uganda at the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Kircuddu hospital, an additional branch of the Mulago hospital. Learning in Uganda challenges one’s mind to think deeper, taking advantage of the clinical picture that the patients present to you, as one is limited to choosing possible medical interventions. As the representatives of KSMU and the consortium of Global Health Universities, the residents carry out the role of active ambassadors in Uganda in overcoming the gap in global healthcare, they study at Makerere University, communicate with colleagues and friends from all over the world, they exchange experience and culture. And it’s an amazing experience every day!
